The Library of the Van Abbemuseum presents the refined, poetic editions of the poet Thomas A Clark and artist Laurie Clark. Walks through the desolate landscape of the Scottish Highlands and British islands have been a source of inspiration for this artist couple. 

Since the early 70’s both poet and artist have worked on an eminent body of work, consisting of intimate artist booklets, delicate designed post cards and refined folding cards. Laurie Clark captivates us with her detailed realistic drawings, while the poems of Thomas A Clark open our eyes for little things that surround us, which can be large in their simplicity.

Opening times: Tuesday to Sunday, 11:00 to 17:00. The museum is closed on Monday, with the exception of public holidays. The museum is closed on New Year's Day, King's Day and Christmas Day. The Van Abbemuseum is open until 21:00 on the first Thursday evening of the month, admission to the museum is free from 17:00 on those nights. The museum cafe is also open until 21:00 on these evenings. We offer an internet connection via WIFI in the whole museum.
