Stichting October en Carol ROBERTSON

The library displays works published by Stichting October, an Eindhoven initiative founded in 1998. The foundation is chiefly engaged in publishing artists’ books and editions and has worked in association with several artists that are well represented in the Van Abbemuseum collection, including Alan Charlton, Hamish Fulton, Richard Long and Ian Hamilton Finlay.

It has also published editions by Eindhoven artists like Kees Verbeek, Johan Kuipers and Giovanni Dalessi.

An overview of the publications can now be seen for the first time in Eindhoven following earlier displays in Kleef, Nashville and Bregenz. The display includes October’s recent publications – a series of watercolours entitled ‘Year’ and the print ‘East-West’ by Carol Robertson.

Opening times: Tuesday to Sunday, 11:00 to 17:00. The museum is closed on Monday, with the exception of public holidays. The museum is closed on New Year's Day, King's Day and Christmas Day. The Van Abbemuseum is open until 21:00 on the first Thursday evening of the month, admission to the museum is free from 17:00 on those nights. The museum cafe is also open until 21:00 on these evenings. We offer an internet connection via WIFI in the whole museum.
