From the 28 June to 2 July, 2010 'The Autonomy Project' has taken place in relation to the Summer School.

AUTONOMY PROJECT SUMMER SCHOOL

 

From the 28 June to 2 July, 2010 the Autonomy Project has invited 40 participants from academies and research institutions around the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and in Germany to participate in a week long Summer School which will take place in the Van Abbemuseum and venues near by. The “school” actually involved more of an exchange of ideas and working together around the notion of au­tonomy in relation to contemporary artistic practice. The participants were joined by guest speakers each day for workshops and discus­sions which you can see portions of in this doc­umentation display at the Studio, Van Abbemu­seum until half August.

Opening times: Tuesday to Sunday, 11:00 to 17:00. The museum is closed on Monday, with the exception of public holidays. The museum is closed on New Year's Day, King's Day and Christmas Day. The Van Abbemuseum is open until 21:00 on the first Thursday evening of the month, admission to the museum is free from 17:00 on those nights. The museum cafe is also open until 21:00 on these evenings. We offer an internet connection via WIFI in the whole museum.
