Keiko Sato - How to tell a story of my father

The Spreekselreeksen is a series of multimedia lectures in the form of a performance. A speaker –artist, philosopher, musician, filmmaker, journalist- is asked to make a presentation for the public on a totally unique scientific / historical / cultural research and theme.
The book How to tell a story of my father was a result of a research and was published in 2009. Keiko Sato's contribution to the Spreekselreeksen is based on this book.
The book is an extraordinary document with texts, interviews and artistic contributions of Sato. Her research attempts to uncover the traces of the impact of a war on society, an individual, a memory and the next generations.
Makiko Sadakata will musically guide the readingperformance of Keiko Sato. She composed the music in response to the images and texts of Sato and the quotes of others.
‘De Spreekselreeksen’ of Extrapool will continuously be presented in Yourspace/het Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven and the Player in Rotterdam. Sponsored by the Mondriaan Stichting and the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds.
