The Eindhoven based artist Bram Hermens has been working almost daily on a wall filling mural in Het Oog (the Eye) since the beginning of August. The process was followed with a great deal of interest by many people from the first sketches, and often proved to be a reason to return to the museum after a short while. After 28 January the results can be admired until 25 March.

In Bram Hermens’ work arthistorical imagery of antiquity encounter representations of contemporary political conflicts, in this particular case the war in Afghanistan. As he says himself, Hermens tries “to reveal the truth behind the reality.”
