- Young Art Night big success The castle made of balloons was a big success. The museum closed at midnight and the party continued in the museumcafe. The visitors danced until the early morning on the music of the Adapter Collective and DJ Deepthroat. We received many enthusiastic reactions, this evening is definitely worth repeating! - 4th of July American Debate 04/07/2008 In the light of the current United States presidential elections, the Van Abbemuseum is turning its attention to that nation’s creative heartland. The interdisciplinary Heartland project, a collaboration with Muziekcentrum Frits Philips, opens on 3 October and continues until 25 January.

- Image Radio Artists Interviews your-space 31/10/2008 - 02/11/2008 These are 1-hour interviews. The interviews are to be more or less conversations between an artist and a curator. We want the interviewer to help put the artist's work in context, as it relates to the 2008 theme "Explore your invisible paradise". The artist is not being asked to prepare a presentation for this. They are preparing installations for Image Radio, we won't ask them to prepare a presentation too. Although interviewers should ask the artist to describe their work, hopefully the conversation will include a critical look at the Image Radio artwork, rather than simply have the standard artist presentation (artist's background, inspiration, examples of work & future plans).
