Solakov donated this drawing in 2013 and wrote the following notes to accompany the work: "Yes, this is/was our Todor Zhivkov ruler and his entourage, drawn in the early autumn of 1989 (but before the Wall went down). It’s worth saying, some of the present rulers act in a more non-democratic way (in a state of democracy) than him (in the state of socialist regime)."
