The Van Abbemuseum Collection consists of over 2800 artworks. We publish texts and images on an ongoing basis, but this record is currently in the process of being documented.
This chair - a design by Lissitzky - is one of the Soviet contributions to the Second International Hygiene Exhibition in Dresden in 1930. The exhibition informed the public of recent developments that should enhance the quality of daily life. The chair uses the then brand-new bentwood technique.
