When brain damage causes one or several parts of the use of language to stop functioning properly, we call it aphasia. In April 2015 the Van Abbemuseum started a special programme for these people. With Spraakmakend van Abbe we offer interactive tours in the museum that have been developed with the targetgroup and expert Mijke Ulrich. Looking at art in this way offers the people with aphasia to express themselves without language.
The Aphiasia programme is part of the Special Guests programme.
Participation tour is free for all visitors with an entrance ticket for the museum. Regular entrance fees apply. You can make a reservation by calling 040-2381042 or by sending an e-mail to Marleen Hartjes. E: firstname.lastname@example.org
