The Eindhoven collective KEK-040! organizes his annual IBCAN Winter exhibition.
On 26 December at 15.00 this exhibition opens with a special presentation in the 'People's Parliament' in the studio of the Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven. Would you like to be present during the opening? Make a reservation via the link.
This part of the Winter Exhibition is the kick-off for a commemoration exhibition of the MH-17 disaster. The exhibition starts in the summer of 2019.
[KEK-040! has entered into a collaboration with Stichting 298.000 Kraanvogels. A Foundation that collected 1000 origami crane birds, in memory of every victim of this disaster.] With the work in the 'People's Parliament', the artists demonstrate their involvement in the disaster in their own way. On display from 26 December to 30 December in De Bank and from 26 December to 7 January in the Van Abbemuseum.
More work by the artists will be shown in 'De Bank', the former ABN bank on the corner of Stadhuisplein and Wal in Eindhoven. This part of the Winter exhibition can be viewed on 26, 27, 28 and 29 December from 11.00 to 17.00 and on Thursday from 11.00 to 21.00.
From 17 July 2019, the exhibition of all 298,000 cranes with the title 'Room of Hope' will be on display in the Catharina Church in Eindhoven. The exhibition, which was previously shown in Emmen and Hilversum, will go to Hiroshima in 2020.
