Becoming More 22 May: DAI's The Kitchen / Not the Restaurant - Monday 22 May

Embedded in a rigorous curriculum consisting of curated classes, seminars and collaborative workshops the Kitchen/Not The Restaurant offers the students of the DAI, a "free space" to 'speak' to an audience consisting of their fellow students, the public and guest respondents (invited artists, curators, writers, scholars).  

Beginning their presentation with a key question, the student presents work by means of performance, talk, performance-lecture, screening, reading, choreography, play, demonstration, action, presentation of relevant aspects of praxis or work in progress or process, reference sets or, a combination of these formats.  

Other than the limits of the given time and space frame of 20 minutes, there are no restrictions to the content and the format of the presentation. Following each presentation, in a conversational mode, the invited guest respondents try to engage with the question while simultaneously improvising an associative, spoken reflection.
