The film Life in Stills tells the story of Miriam Weissenstein and her grandson Ben. When 'The Photo House' - her late husband Rudi's life work - was destined for demolition, even this opinionated and uncomprising woman knew she needed help. A special relationship is forged between Miriam and Ben as they join forces to save the shop.
Talent Dove of the Media Foundation of the Sparkasse Leipzig for an extraodinary documentary film talent about the movie:
“This is an intimate film that celebrates the individual in all his richness and complexity. Director Tamar manages to share the most beautiful moments of bonding between grandmother Miriam and her grandson Ben with the audience. The film also shows that a positive approach to life, understanding, forgivess, empathy and a sense of humor are things that keep us alive and let us overcome even the most tragic moments.”
