jump!

is a unique cooperation between eigth talented artists and four galleries in Brabant. The four gallery owners - Ingrid Luycks, Jan van Hoof, Majke Hüsstege and Petra Cardinaal (Galerie Pennings) - joined forces and offered the group of artists a two year coaching programme. Knowledge, networking and professional development were key in this programme.
The participating artists are Lindert Paulussen, Marthe Zink, Matijs van de Kerkhof, Matthias Schaareman, Noortje Haegens, Roos Holleman, Stijn Poelstra en Wiesje Peels. The exposition jump! in the Van Abbemuseum is the closure of the trajectory and can be visited until Sunday 18 September.

Eposition design

The design of the exposition is made by Harm Rensink and Grietje Schepers. In their concept they make a symbolic connection between artists and gallery owner. They do this by increasing the identity of the gallery. Part of the installation is a documentary made by Roland van Dooren, in which the artists tell about their experiences.

Cooperation

In cooperation with bkkc talented artists, who have been working for a few years after finishing their studies, get a helping hand to secure their place in the art circuit. In addition jump! offers the gallery owners a chance to research their current and future position.

The project was made possible with the support of bkkc and Provincie Noord-Brabant.
