Preparations for new exhibitions at the Van Abbemuseum

18/09/2013 - 01/11/2013

On 17 September preparations have started for our large collection exhibition Once Upon a Time... which opens on all five floors of the reconstructed new building on 2  November 2013. From 14 October onwards, we will also be preparing the old building for the Self Unself exhibition of Design Academy Eindhoven. Due to these large scale preparations not all areas of the museum will be open throughout the upcoming weeks.

What does this mean for you as a visitor?

- From 17 September until 13 October:

Most parts of the museum are open as usual, only the ground floor and the first floor of the new building are closed. In this period you can visit the exhibition Black or White (old building) , the project The Refusal of Time by William Kentridge (Studio) , the exhibition Pull Focus by Mark Lewis (2nd floor new building), the exhibition Art Needs Time (3rd floor new building), the project Supertoll! by Tijs Rooijakkers (Het Oog), the work Code Names by Trevor Paglan (on the wall near Het Oog) and the exhibition The Machinery of Compensation by Ajla Steinvag (library).
