Queer Media Club - Do bisexual people have to come out of the closet?
Queer Media Club Do bisexual people have to come out of the closet?
On our red coach in the DIY Archive: People who'd like to explain whether bisexual people have to 'out' themselves, perhaps discuss the myth of their existence, and much, much more.
In our current day and age we define much of who we are by the things around us. This starts with family, later friends and eventually (and undeniably) media set in. Books, films, television but also art can be tools for reflection. Nowadays the internet, mobile phone applications and social media are perhaps even more important.
Mediahuis Eindhoven and the Van Abbemuseum together host an evening meant to explore what contemporary media teach us about what it means to attracted to both men and women.
We’ve asked a panel of specialists to showcase which media-outlets they have found most inspiring: A clip from a TV-series, a work of art, of maybe an online article. We’ll use these, and additional material from the Mediahuis, Museum and audience, to reflect and discuss.
