Reading; Collecting images
Reading; Collecting images
We live in an abundant visual culture. Images are ubiquitous and their multiplicity reflects many facets of the world we now live in. Why would an artist still like to add new images? Isn't it a great challenge of our time to collect frames -wherever they come from- and to arrange them to an unique image collection with a completely new statement?
This theme-reading will discuss the relationship between the shape which temporary images -mostly from the multimedia world- adopt and the way artists respond.
