Scordatura - concert in collaboration with Axesjazzpower

Scordatura plays classical pieces from the microtonal and spectral tradition.  In addition they also play new musical pieces that have been written solely for them. Cofounder and musicologist/keyboard player Bob Gilmore passed away just a few months ago. Vocalist Alfrun Schmid and alt violinist Elisabeth Smalt decided to keep on working together. In Eindhoven they will play a new composition by Samuel Vriezen, 'Vincent, Homesick for the Land of Pictures' about Vincent van Gogh, inspired by a poem written by Peter Gizzi. Furthermore they will play 'Harmonium #1' by James Tenney and they will perform the world premiere of a composition by Ig Henneman.
