SNOOZE SESSION LADY AÏDA intimate lay down concert in an art installation

04/04/2019
19:00 - 21:30

The Eindhoven based DJ Lady Aïda performed at festivals and clubs in the Netherlands and abroad since the end of the eighties. This time she takes over the (soft) carpet floor of the Van Abbemuseum with a unique intimate concert in the middle of one of the art installations. In which the audience lay down on a soft thick carpet.

Do not expect techno, but an electronic, beatless and immersive sound trip through time, where Lady Aïda takes you to a dream world of soundscapes. Tracks to relax to the max!

For a number of years Aïda has also been Kundalini yoga teacher. In this form of yoga the ancient, symphonic Paiste 30-inch gong is used as a sacred instrument because of the soothing vibrations. So Lady Aïda brings a unique and layered DJ set with live play on the gong.

As a DJ she is also strongly influenced by electronic music without beats; think of artists like multi-media artist Laurie Anderson, minimal musicians like Steve Reich and Philip Glass, pioneer of electronic music Dick Raaijmakers and ambient founder Brian Eno.

Tip: wear loose clothing and bring a blanket to lie comfortably warm underneath and a pillow to put your head on and enjoy.
