Spraakmakend Van Abbe
The Van Abbemuseum is accessible for everybody who is curious. As part of our Special Guests programme we also take care of people with aphasia. Brain damage causes people with aphasia to have more trouble with the understanding and processing of language. In april 2015 the Van Abbemuseum started with a special programme for this group. With Spraakmakend Van Abbe we offer interactive tours in the museum, that have been developed in collaboration with the target group. Looking at art in this certain way offers people with aphasia the possibility to express themselves without using language. Expert Mijke Ulrich describes this as 'open your heart'. During the programme the focus will be on the positive, the creative and the inspiring.

Let us take you on an interactive tour led by Jenneke Lambert and guided by Mijke Ulrich. The tour will start at 14:00 uur. After the tour there will be time for a nice cup of coffee.

Groups can also book the Spraakmakend Van Abbe-tour on request. Contact or call +31 40 238 1010. The costs for these tours are:
- Tuesday to Friday from 11.00 to 17.00: €70 per group (excluding entrance fee)
- Thursday evenings from 17:00 to 21:00: €100 per group (ecluding entrance fee)
- Saturdays and Sundays: €80 per group (excluding entrance fee)
