Introduction to participants Who Owns The Street?

Stadsleven (City Life) is the monthly live talkshow and web magazine of the journalist, author and presenter Tracy Metz in which she looks at the city from different perspectives. On Thursday evening 25 February at 7 pm there is a special edition of Stadsleven on location in the Van Abbemuseum. Metz will hold discussions with the participants in the exhibition Who Owns The Street?; the illustrator Jan Rothuizen, Elma van Boxel from Bureau ZUS, Wouter Vanstiphout from Crimson Architectural Historians and Jerry van Eijck from !Melk. They will talk about how the themes in the exhibition The Street from 1972 relate to this current exhibition.

Series of lectures and debates

This talkshow is the start of a nine-part series of lectures and debates related to the exhibition Who Owns The Street? This exhibition shows different ways of seeing the street – our public space. Who uses this public space? Who manages, controls and abuses it? Who is the owner and what responsibilities does this ownership entail?
