Temitayo Ogunbiyi - You will play in nuance and grow community
Temitayo Ogunbiyi You will play in nuance and grow community
“Play is something that we should continue to do throughout our lives,” states Temitayo Ogunbiyi (Rochester, 1984). This autumn, the Nigerian based artist is creating a playscape that consists of rippling forms of curved steel. The installation encourages visitors to climb and swing.

Ogunbiyi believes that open-ended exploration – by children as well as adults – helps inspire social progress. “How can you expand your thinking if you don’t try approaching the world in new ways?” Over the past four years, Ogunbiyi has designed five playground installations, including one at the Museo Madre in Naples and for the Lagos Biennial.
