Fermentation & social processes in the Museum

This is not a cheese making workshop, wil make use of the 'mobile cheese unit' that is on show in the exhibition Confessions of the Imperfect.

The workshop will run over the course of two days at the Kimchi Bar, a functional space within the exhibition, and offers the public the chance to learn the basic principles of making cheese, fizzy dairy drinks and other lactic cultures. Meanwhile, arguments around the function of art and its social role, as well as questions regarding the psychoanalysis of cheese, theory of taste, class and gastronomic struggle, will be raised – and discussed.

Participation is free. No materials required. No pets. Bring a plastic container to take some cheese back home.

Saturday 7 February 11:00 - 17:00 hours
Sunday 8 February 11:00 - 14:00 hours.
