The street, a form of living together - Singing manifestation
The street, a form of living together Singing manifestation
On Thursday June 30 a singing manifestation will take place in the halls of the museum. Three choirs are inspired by the street, the subject of the exhibition in which they will perform. A Syrian group will bring a mix of Arabian and Western music on the lower floor of the tower. Our own Van Abbechoir performs on the first floor to sing protest and street songs from different cultures and timeframes; amongst others an English suffragette song and an Italian partizanen song. On the second floor the chamber choir Weert under direction of Jan Snel is present. The nine singers sing pieces of Jannequin and an arrangement of Lennon / McCartney.
The entrance to the performances is free; only the regular entrance fee for the museum has to be paid.
