Van Abbemuseum vitrine: selectie Michaël de Kok - bij Piet Hein Eek

From 8 July to 14 October, the exhibition Recollecting Landscape Experiences with works by Michaël de Kok is on show at Piet Hein Eek. Michaël had the opportunity to make a new selection from the Van Abbemuseum collection for the Van Abbevitrine. The paintings of Michaël de Kok constantly balance between abstraction and figuration. The interpretation of light-absorbing and radiant surfaces are always observed in nature and later processed in the studio. Michaël: "Hence the selection of a work by Roger Raveel and Wilhelm Sasnal from the Van Abbemuseum collection, both artists seek the limits between something that's recognizable and that what's only paint."
