Van Abbemuseum vitrine: selection Sjimmie Veenhuis - at Piet Hein Eek

Sjimmie Veenhuis makes installations in which he uses existing materials in their original form. By reinterpreting concrete and recognizable visual elements of the material itself, the effect of the contental alienation towards our immediate surroundings becomes perceptible. A number of his works were shown in the exhibition Aspect Ratio at Piet Hein Eek. For this exhibition Veenhuis has also made a new selection of works from the Van Abbemuseum collection for display in the Van Abbemuseum vitrine.
