17/10/2009 - 25/10/2009
Curator: Freek Lomme

During the Dutch Design Week 2009, your-space presents three projects wherein a diversity of relations within and with our surrounding environment is being opened up. your-space presents three projects that enhance the relation between man in and with his environment: 'The needy, the stranger and the idiot' by Jozua Zaagman, 'COMMENT-LIKE-SHARE' by Alice Schwab and Sara Bomans, and 'Where are you now' by Rob Ruimers. Curated by Freek Lomme.

The needy, the stranger and the idiot

Jozua Zaagman, artist from Eindhoven, states that public space is the opposite of private and governmentally regulated space. On the basis of field research Jozua will realise another mapping of Eindhoven, with other fulfilments. In collaboration with Maartje Dros, he will synchronously realise another special project, mapping out another route through all Dutch Design Week venues, especially for all visitors.

Alice Schwab, just graduated at the Design Academy, and Sara Bomans, artist from Hasselt (BE), met each other at your-space noticed a shared interest for visualising actual online and offline social relations. Both online as off line, they with create a mapping of social networks; previously unknown will be brought together.

Where are you now

With an overwhelming installation, artist Rob Ruimers puts forth our experience of space, from within an alienating space. Will we be taken with or will we táke the space surrounding us.
