Zangmanifestatie The Van Abbemuseum choir invites
On Thursday evening, March 30th between 19.00-20.30 the 5th singing event will take place in the tower of the van Abbemuseum near the exhibition of ‘Who owns the street’.
What will this evening look like?
Eshan Kanani will sing Irinian songs in the basement, in company of the documentary ‘Refugee Republic’ of Jan Rothuizen in which we can view footage of a refugee camp. Furthermore, the van Abbemuseum choir will sing protest songs belonging to different countires and periods. This will take place on the first floor, which is all about ‘the open space for protest’. Last but not least, on the third floor the Vrouwen Vocaal Ensemble ‘Sirena’ will be presented, which is all about Eindhoven being an open space.
In this exhibition different visions can be seen about the street, the choir will sing for three of those visions. To make the exhibition come to life with signing, the van Abbemuseum choir has invited two groups: a choir from Eindhoven and people with a refugee background.
To attend this special event, you only need a valid museum entrance ticket. On Thursday nights students have free entrance from 17.00 hrs. Did you know that you get 50% discount with a EIndhoven city pass? (At all times.)
