Auditoriumprogramma: Lezing Marcel van Dam en de Nieuwe Mens

Voor de presentatie Lissitzky+ in het Van Abbemuseum zijn vier modellen gemaakt naar tekeningen van Lissitzky. Een daarvan, de Nieuwe Mens, inspireerde Marcel van Dam (socioloog, voormalig politicus en programmamaker) om zijn vrouw Milou Derks (beeldend kunstenaar) over te halen een groter model te maken. In deze lezing licht hij persoonlijk toe hoe dat in zijn werk ging. Daarna wordt deze nieuwe Nieuwe Mens geïnstalleerd bij de ingang van de Lissitzky+ tentoonstelling. - For the Lissitzky+ presentation, the Van Abbemuseum commisioned four models based on the drawings by Lissitzky. One of them, the New Man, inspired the Dutch sociologist, former politician and programmer Marcel van Dam to persuade his wife, Milou Derks, artist, to make a bigger model.
