Workshop The Issues of the day
During the workshop The issues of the day we teach you to see connections, to associate freely. Participants look for a connection between a topic from current affairs and an artwork. Absolutely no prior art knowledge is required. There are no wrongs or rights: the connections you make are your personal associations.
Comparing subjects
You'll discover the museum as a group. Participants tell each other about their associations and discuss the artworks and current affairs. Discover how different people find different connections and how similar topics can be linked to different works of art. Educational and inspirational: this workshop offers your group plenty of topics for conversation.
The issues of the day is perfect for groups who want to get to know each other better. It works very well as a team building exercise, for example. Also great for groups of friends looking for a creative get-together.

Workshop First Look, then See
The workshop First look, then see uses a method developed by the New York Museum of Modern Art (MoMA): Visual Thinking Strategies. MoMA discovered visitors remember very little after a tour if the information did not fit their own imagination. That's why in this workshop we start from the input and backgrounds of the participants, instead of from the information and knowledge of the moderator. All to grow your interest and make the information last longer.
Broadening your view
You'll wander through the museum as a group, looking at and discussing various works of art. The question 'what's there to see' allows for plenty of conversation. The things you see or notice could be entirely different from another person's perspective. Discussing those differences broadens your view. So don't stick to your own perspective, get more out of the experience together.
