Through a personal lens

Art is more enjoyable and interesting when viewed through a personal lens. But how can you do that? The interactive workshop Your news of the day helps students find their own unique doorway into art. This individual entry point ensures art touches their lives and experiences.

Choices and connections

During the workshop, students search the newspaper for headlines, texts or images that appeal to them. With these newspaper clippings in hand, they look for artworks that match them. There are no right or wrong answers; it's all about personal choices and connections. What do they see and why? Of course, students discuss their choices with each other and the instructor, and talk about the artworks and their relationship to the world we live in.
