Let's draw together in nature!

The Van Abbemuseum invites you to draw in nature! During a plein air session, you draw cows and landscapes under supervision of a workshop teacher at the Genneper Hoeve in Eindhoven. Everyone can participate in the workshops: you do not have to be an experienced draftsman. Children are also welcome (up to 12 years under the supervision of an adult). During the workshop we are inspired by the project Koe en Landschap by artist Wapke Feenstra, which will be shown in the exhibition Soils in June 2024. You can participate in the session at different times: on Sunday September 24 or Saturday September 30. There are only 15 places per session, so be quick!

Practical information

• The Genneper Hoeve is best reached from the museum by bicycle or car. You walk for half an hour. It is best to take the bus from the Smalle Haven in Eindhoven, or at the station. This stops a 12-minute walk from the Genneper Hoeve. We recommend checking your route well before departure to avoid delays.
• The workshop will be given in Dutch.
• Paper, drawing material and chairs are provided by the museum museum. You are free to bring your own drawing material.
• If it rains we will provide an indoor location.
• Do you want to see your drawing in the museum? After the workshop you can choose to have a scan made of your work, then you give permission to exhibit your work in the upcoming exhibition Soils. You can then simply take your own drawing home with you.

Learn more about Soils

The Soils exhibition is a plea to connect with the soil. How do we take care of our soil, as the soil also takes care of us? Soils provides an insight into how artists from different parts of the world connect with the earth in their own ways. The exhibition embraces these differences and makes us think about how we can learn from each other. Soils will open in June 2024, more information will follow later this year.
