Become Part of The Fifth Place

On 17 October, during the opening of Museum as Sundial, artist Michael Portnoy invites you into The Fifth Place (v.2.7), an absurdist behaviour lab where strangers invent new ways of being together. By applying, you become part of a performance. On the day, you will receive your own private roles and rules and meet other participants to twist language and thought, invent strange customs, and turn ordinary encounters into unexpected little worlds.

Participation is free, but advance registration is required. Registration takes place via the The Fifth Place website. To sign up, click the registration button.

Please note: you will receive your roles and rules by text message before and during the session. Please arrive at 3.30 pm and allow approximately one hour for the experience.

This opening session marks the starting point of a series of participatory sessions that will take place in and beyond the museum over the coming months.
