Can play help us imagine different ways of living together? Paul Panhuysen's z.t. speelobject invites visitors to experiment with modular elements that can be assembled and rearranged in multiple ways. Originally created for nursery schools in Eindhoven, the work embodies a broader belief that creativity and participation could help shape more open and imaginative forms of social life. This idea also informed Panhuysen's collaborative urban projects, developed with residents of Eindhoven's Wilgenroosstraat neighbourhood. Through building, moving, and reconfiguring, visitors become active participants in shaping the environment around them.
