Sunday 15 June is Father's Day, and at the Van Abbemuseum we celebrate by giving free admission to all fathers.

What's on?

The Van Abbemuseum's collection comes to life in surprising ways. In the exhibition Delinking and Relinking, you can not only look at art, but also smell, hear and even feel it. Hidden Connections introduces you to the museum's colonial past and invites reflection. Ima-Abasi Okon's conceptual solo exhibition takes you into themes of (land) ownership, the body and human relationships. In making food out of sunlight, tulips take on new meaning as a powerful symbol of protest. And take note: it is the very last day of Radically Mine!, a special exhibition made in collaboration with schoolchildren from the region. Last but not least: a model of the iconic Stroomhuis is temporarily on display.

Specials for children

Are you coming with the whole family? For children, there is a fun bingo card that allows them to discover works of art in the museum while playing. And with the family tour in the Smartify app, you can go on an adventure together.

And if that's not enough, the Van Abbe café treats all fathers to a tasty surprise! In short: whether you come for depth, wonder or just a nice day out, on Father's Day the Van Abbemuseum is the place to experience art together!

Fathers have free entry, but of course everyone is welcome. See you on Sunday 15 June!
