Life in heyheyhey land is prospe generous. It play's the decadent fruits of modern civilisation as it breaks this bread, coloured with tasteless disco-dip and chaired with fellow-mankind. We find ourselves taken in relational landscapes filled with stylistic accessory tools -often plastic and trashy-: a landscape that uncloaks a fun and colourful post-apocalyptic scenery. HeyHeyHey reclaims the progressive capacity of social activity within leisure's material landscape. If modern civilisation is a fantasy, heyheyhey land's social scenery play's upon the fantasies of these fussy disillusions via subversive experiences that reposition our lifestyle. Heyheyhey (Erik Sjouerman and Elske van der Putten) defy all categorical definitions. They could be labelled graphic designers, street artist, intervention artists or product designers? Meanwhile their statements and playfield are beyond relational art, educational art, experience art or political art. The released field is hospitable and subversive to our comfort zone as it enhances an edgy, fundamental call to live via pop cultural humour and joy. HeyHeyHey seems to suggest that we can overcome decadence by acknowledging its temptations. Instead of fighting these, we'd better re-appropriate them. High Culture seems to claim the moral of cultural stories. That's bullshit of a leftish elite. There's also morality to life in a low-cultural pop culture. Let's not fight experience-economy with ugly or stiff reasons of cultural political, but live our lives by the morality of lower pop culture!
