Description

Spanner was a Collaborative Projects-sponsored publication that served as the group's answer to unchecked sociopolitical inequity and rising conservatism in the 1970's and 80's. A variety of black- and white works touch upon local and global topics. In this issue, Kathy Acker translates Mallarme's "Un Coup de Des" on her own terms. A four-page spread from Judy Rifka exhibits large gestural drawings on her studio floor. Peter Fend explores the notion of art as an evolutionary mediator. Other contributors include Colen Fitzgibbons and Robin Winters, Judy Rifka, Mitch Corber and more
