Description

Binoculars, telescopes, microscope, periscopes – these are devices that enlarge perspective. We use them not merely to acquire knowledge but also to exert power and control. In the digital era, this control jeopardizes the freedom of the individual. Who has, access to this information, and what is it used for? Can Altay’s ten instruments are subversive and critical. They disperse reality into fragments, and sabotage our points of view. Furthermore, they challenge us to let go of certainties and discover new perspectives.
