Boerderij te Blaricum
Description
Herman Kruyder’s oeuvre is characterized by distorted perspectives and intense fields of colour. He takes his topics from his direct environment. During his life, he experienced severe mental crises, and in his work expresses his inner disruption, fear, and depression. In the late 1920s, Kruyder settled in Blaricum together with his wife. 'Boerderij te Blaricum' (Farm in Blaricum) is a painting he made during a period of calm.
