Description

Humans explore the world by displacing, themselves through movement, a universal act that, takes place in time and space. It is a process that, inspires artists to question what space and time are.,How do we manifest ourselves in time and space?,How do we document this?

In 'I Went', On Kawara documents the routes,he takes on a daily basis over the course of twelve, years throughout the world. He uses a red pen on,photocopies of city maps, later bundled into twelve, corpulent books. Kawara uses different systems to,document and situate himself in time and place.
