La Cuisine (maquette)
Description
‘Je ne suis pas très moderne!’, writes Belgian artist Thierry De Cordier, challenging the idea that everything had to be better, newer, and more original in the modern world. In protest of this in 1988 he moved with his family to the Flemish countryside in Schorisse. This scale model of a farm called 'La Cuisine' gives shape to De Cordier’s attempt to live outside of society. Is it still possible to live as a recluse?
