Description

Pushing your boundaries is personal growth.,But retracing national borders can be seen as a,declaration of war. Boundaries are sensitive. In,former Yugoslavia, Kosovarian Albanians claimed,Kosovo as their autonomous territory, against the, edict of Serbian authorities. In Pejë, ethnic cleansing, took place.

Huddled up at home, Erzen Shkololli, processed these atrocious experiences in a series,of textile works. Images of figures with raised hands, alternate with those of coffins, houses, and flowers.

Shkololli guided children in making drawings to help, them come to terms with the events; these are, presented in the showcase. Here, too, endearing, scenes alternate with unsettling images.
