Description

'Sylvia Kristel-Paris' (2003) is a single-channel video projection by Manon de Boer. The video is built around two interviews that the artist had with actress Sylvia Kristel (1952-2012) two years apart. Kristel, known for her portrayal of Emanuelle in the erotic cult film of the same name, talks about her introduction to Paris in 1972. Super-8 images of the interviews alternate with images of Paris.

'Sylvia Kristel – Paris' forms a trilogy, together with the videos 'Resonating Surfaces' (2005) and 'Think About Wood, Think About Metal' (2011).
