Description

John Körmeling is an architect, visual artist, and freethinker. In his work, he combines simplicity and the obvious with exuberance and the extraordinary. A sense of humour plays a major role. In this work, he expresses this through combining the modern building with the nostalgic old-Dutch (Zaans) house. Our society is constantly subjected to modern developments. At the same time, we cherish our traditions. In his Zaans huis Körmeling unites these apparent opposites.
