Description

A typical urban environment: the scale of the buildings, the illuminated shop windows, the bustle of people and traffic. Do you feel at home here? Lamelas commissioned a photographer to take pictures of the 'Place de la Bourse', the 'Au Bon Marché' department store and the 'National Bank'. He wants the public to reflect on the difference between perception through a photo and actually being at that particular place at that particular time. The artist asks himself whether we tend to automatically link our own experience and knowledge to a photographic image.
