Description

Wilkommen, bienvenue, welcome to Errorist Kabaret! A surreal café peopled by artists, activists and magicians, where ashtrays come to life, the bottles speak and everything that can go wrong will go wrong.

The Errorist Kabaret is an installation of the Argentinian collective Etcetera… from 2009. The installation was developed for 9th Istanbul Biennial, curated by the Croatian collective whw (What, How & For Whom). The biennial was titled What Keeps Mankind Alive? inspired by the song from Bertholt Brecht’s Dreigroschenoper (Three Penny Opera). For the occasion Etcetera… made a cabaret, where activists, artists and magicians from Turkey, Argentina and beyond hang out and celebrate error. Feel free to mix with this colourful crowd and read the script The Desire of the Object.
